Suitable from 6+ months and great for weaning babies and toddlers
Both my toddler and my baby absolutely love this recipe - and I know that it is only made with healthy ingredients (just two in fact - how easy is that?!)
When introducing solid foods to babies it's best to avoid refined sugar until they turn 1, that's why this healthy chia jam is the perfect substitute for sugary jam, it's a quick and easy baby recipe made up of just raspberries and jam.
You can make this chia jam any flavour you like, simply swap the raspberries for your choice of berries (such as strawberries or blackberries). It's also a really simple recipe to make - it has just two ingredients and takes 10-15 minutes!
The chia jam is not only great for BLW (baby led weaning), but it's also a healthier alternative for toddlers and older kids, and you can even sweeten it with natural sugars such as maple syrup of honey if over the age of one.
It's the perfect topping for simple healthy baby meals such as porridge or wholegrain toast. If you are weaning then you could always serve it as a puree as well. You can store the chia jam for 3 days in the fridge or up to three months in the freezer.
If you like the look of this raspberry chia jam then check out these delicious raspberry bliss balls - they're one of my all time most popular BLW (baby led weaning) recipes and are fantastic nutritious finger foods for babies.
