Oaty Bites

Suitable from 6+ months with baby led weaning (BLW)

These Oaty Bites couldn't be easier to make, they're great for weaning and toddlers and made only using healthy ingredients!

To make these Oaty Bites all you need is four ingredients - rolled oats, nut butter, chai seeds and a baby puree pouch of your choice (I love a puree hack, if you do too check out these Yoghurt Bark Bites!)

I wanted to keep the Oaty Bites egg free for any babies who have an egg allergy as mummies on my Instagram page often request egg free recipes, however if you don't have any chai seeds in the house you can substitute with an egg.

My baby Eloise absolutely loves these Oaty Bites, not only are they super yummy, they are also really cheap to make!

The Oaty bites are also super quick to bake, they take just 15 minutes in the oven and come out crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, perfect for babies who are weaning and doing baby led weaning (BLW).

They can also be frozen for up to three months and kept in the fridge for up to 3 days in an air tight container. The Oaty Bites are also perfect for weaning on the go, or as a toddler snack as they're a great lunch box recipe.

Let me know if you make these for your baby or toddler, if your baby is over one you could also slip a few chocolate chips in as a special treat!

Makes 12 Oaty Bites

Oaty Bites

Ingredients

100g rolled oats

2 tbsp nut butter of your choice

1 tbsp chai seeds

1 fruit based baby puree of your choice

Method

Pre heat oven to 200c

Add all of the ingredients to a blender and mix well

Use a spoon to scoop out some mixture and add evenly distribute it in a muffin tray (I'd be lost without my silicon muffin tray - they pop straight out)

Press the mixture down with your fingers into the tray so it's an even cookie shape

Bake in the oven for 15 minutes

Leave to cool before serving
