Suitable from 6+ months - Perfect for toddlers and BLW
The quickest quiche you will ever make they’re ideal for toddlers, big kids and even babies. You can put anything in for a filling as well, mushrooms and onion would be delicious.
Just be sure that you leave out the bacon if your baby is under the age of 1 due to the high salt content.
Mini Quiche Medley
Ingredients
1 sheet of ready rolled shortcrust pastry
5 medium sized eggs
50g cheddar cheese grated
Pick your filling (I used broccoli, tomatoes and bacon)
Method
Preheat oven to 220c
Use a jar or cookie cutter to make a circular base out of the shortcrust pastry which will fit in the base of a silicon muffin tray (mine is for 12)
Place the pastry into the silicon baking tray moulds and press them down (they don’t have to be a perfect fit!)
Whisk the eggs and the cheese together and evenly distribute into the moulds
Add your toppings into the egg mixture
Bake for 18 minutes until they are golden and cooked through
Leave to cool for a few minutes then they should easily pop out of their silicon moulds
Store for up to 3 days in the fridge and 3 months in the freezer
