Salmon, Cream Cheese and Broccoli Pinwheels

Updated: Sep 26, 2022

Suitable from 7+ months with BLW and family favourite

A BLW and toddler favourite - who doesn't loge a pinwheel?!

These delicious little pinwheels are perfect for weaning, toddlers, big kids and even mums and dads, it's an absolute family favourite.

I made these in the air fryer, however they are just as delicious baked in the oven for 15 -20 minutes at 185c (turn halfway through).

Store these in the fridge in an air tight container and eat within 3 days, or pop them in the freezer.

If your baby is under 1 year old you can substitute the cream cheese with ricotta for a lower sodium alternative.

This recipe makes 8 pinwheels

Ingredients

  • Two cooked salmon fillets

  • 300g cream cheese

  • Florets of 1 whole broccoli

  • Ready made puff pastry roll

  • 1 egg

Method

Use a fork to flake the salmon fillets

Parboil the broccoli for around 5 minutes, drain and then dice using a sharp knife

Add the broccoli to a large mixing bowl and add the cream cheese, use a spoon to mix everything together

Roll out the pastry and add the broccoli and cream cheese mixture then evenly cover it with the flaked salmon

Roll the pastry as tightly as possible, then cut it into 8 even pinwheels

Whisk an egg together and egg wash the pinwheels

Pop in the Air Fryer for 15 minutes, turning half way through
