Suitable from 6+ months with Baby Led Weaning (BLW), perfect for babies, toddlers and big kids
These pancakes are so delicious and fluffy - they’re perfect for weaning and the whole family! I made these pancakes for my 3 year old son and 7 month old daughter and the pair of them loved them.
I absolutely love my pancake pan, it’s an absolute weaning essential in my book! I picked mine up on Amazon and it’s one of the things I wish I bought years ago! You can pick yours up here.
If baby is over the age of 1 you can serve them with honey (no honey for babies under the age of 1), but they’re delicious by themselves or served with fresh fruit and yoghurt.
These blueberry and banana pancakes are also great for batch cooking, I always keep a few in the fridge and then freeze the rest for a delicious baby and toddler breakfast on demand. They’re great for batch cooking when weaning!
You can of course make these pancakes with almost any fruit of your choice, For a gluten free alternative check out these apple and banana oat pancakes.
Feel free to use any milk of your choice to make the pancakes, including breast or formula milk which is great if you’ve just started weaning.
Blueberries are classed as a choking hazard for weaning babies and young children due to their shape so make sure you squash them with a fork first before stirring them into the mixture.
If you do try these blueberry and banana pancakes then please let me know how you get on - they’re a firm favourite in our house!
